https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-apps-for-visiting-national-parks/Links to an external site. The article on the best apps for visiting national parks is very useful for anyone planning an outdoor trip. It highlights apps that offer trail maps, wildlife information, and navigation tips, which can make exploring parks easier and safer. I think these apps are great because they help visitors feel more prepared and connected to nature, even in unfamiliar places. Using technology like this makes outdoor experiences more enjoyable and accessible for everyone. VR and AR technology allow people to enjoy recreational activities in new ways. For example, virtual hiking or rock climbing simulations can provide similar experiences indoors, while AR can enhance outdoor experiences with interactive maps or trail information.

Recreation begins with learning what you have decided to engage in. No one can immediately know how to surf, or cook, or fish. In that line, the resources easily accessible thanks to the internet provide innumerable sources of assistance, advice, and information. Fishing is a personal favorite pastime for me, and I utilize such apps as Fishbrain for information on anything from recently caught species to activity at piers.

I found this article very insightful regarding the impact of technology on swimming. It highlights the significant impact of technology on swimming. Touchpads have improved timing accuracy, reducing human error and ensuring fair competition. Training equipment, from paddles to tempo trainers, enhances performance based on scientific research. However, the concerns over super-suits emphasize the need for regulations to maintain fairness in the sport. Overall, it deepens the appreciation for how technology shapes swimming training and competition.

The following web page explores how EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate) foam is widely used in protective gear across various industries, including sports and industrial sectors. EVA foam, known for its lightweight and flexible properties, offers excellent shock absorption, making it ideal for helmets, knee pads, and other types of protective equipment. The foam's resilience and cushioning capabilities help reduce the risk of injury while allowing users to maintain high levels of performance. This technology's social impact is significant as it improves safety for individuals in high-risk environments, including athletes and industrial workers.

I found that how technology changes surfing. First, surfers have started using hydrofoil surfboards equipped with built-in electric propellers. This innovation allows suffers to surf not only in the ocean but also on lakes and rivers. Additionally, a small French start-up company has introduced 3D-printed bio-plastic surfboards made from corn starch for those who are concerned about the environmental impact of plastic board manufacturing. Finally, there is a wearable device designed to help surfers avoid shark encounters. This device disrupts sharks' electric field senses by generating a 6-foot electromagnetic field with magnets.

I find that reaction and technology are becoming more intertwined in daily life. Technology enhances recreational activities in many ways, whether it's through video games, fitness apps, or virtual reality experiences. These innovations allow for more immersive, engaging, and convenient forms of leisure. For instance, fitness apps can track my progress, and social media helps me stay connected with friends. In summary, technology makes it easier for people to enjoy their free time. I had to hear what other people had to say regarding recreation and technology, here is a link you might  find useful (https://www.quora.com/Why-does-technology-impact-recreational-activitiesLinks to an external site.)

Technology is changing the recreation industry having operations online and making user experiences better. Online booking and registration systems allow users to sign up for programs from any location and increasing the accessibility . With technology recreation departments can improve program quality, boost participation, and simplify registration processes and helping with growth and better serving their communities. Some technology I can think of off the top of my head that has had a big impact on recreation is technology is scoreboards being digital making it easier to keep track of things, drones being able to capture more videos of certain things from a different perspective and other things like games and software now all being digital.
