Welcome to CIS 2 Computers and the Internet in Society

The course is now open. There is a lot to do starting right now.

There is no textbook. All the resources are online. So you can get started now.

Syllabus

There are online discussions that require college-level reading and writing. Your participation makes up most of your grade for the course.

Start by reviewing the Module 1. overview and activity descriptions on the Assignments page.

left navigation menu > Modules > Module 1. Introductions

> Assignments 1 (opens in a new browser tab or window)

These are linked from the Canvas course for your convenience. Then work through the activities and discussions outlined. All activities listed are required. All are due on the Module 1 due date -- at 11:00pm. **

If you have questions, please ask. You can use this course email, regular email or the questions discussion in Canvas.

Introduce yourself in the Introductions discussion. Get to know others in the class.

I am looking forward to working with you throughout the semester. This is always an interesting and important learning experience.

Cheers!
