How is technology changing jobs and the nature of work? What jobs have not changed even though technology might help them? What jobs would not exist without technology?

Technology is changing jobs and the nature of work by

  1. automating routine tasks,
  2. enhancing efficiency, and
  3. creating new types of roles.
Jobs in fields like data analysis, digital marketing, and software development wouldn’t exist without modern technology, as they rely on internet connectivity, coding, and advanced computing.

At the same time, technology is also reshaping traditional jobs, like manufacturing, with robotics, or healthcare, with telemedicine and electronic records.

However, some jobs remain mostly unchanged despite technological advances. Roles that require hands-on skills, like plumbing, carpentry, or caregiving, still rely heavily on personal expertise and physical presence. While technology may assist them, it cannot fully replace the human element and practical skills essential in these professions.
