  1. Specific areas of interest. We don't have a textbook, so the topics covered in the course are somewhat flexible. Everyone participates in defining the topics addressed in the course. Propose questions or topics related to the overall course subject of technology, computers, the internet and society that you want the course to explore. Post a note to the Interesting topics discussion. If you want to examine a related resource, include a link as well.
The topics covered in this CIS class are truly engaging, sparking my interest in learning more about AI technology and cybersecurity. I am particularly curious about AI, cybersecurity, and coding. AI is becoming a central part of our daily lives, from virtual assistants to autonomous vehicles, which raises important questions about its ethical use. I wonder, "How should society navigate the ethical challenges that arise from the use of AI, and what regulations should be in place to ensure it benefits everyone fairly?" Understanding these ethical concerns and developing balanced regulations is crucial for maximizing AI's benefits while minimizing its risks

I find myself loving the topics being discussed in these modules and finding it to be quite interesting, I do want to learn a bit more on how AI will affect our society and how will society take to having more AI in there day to day lives. I would also like to see how cybersecurity will be affected by AI and whether it'll be useful in protecting our data or will it be a way for people with nefarious purposes to bypass firewalls and security measures easier and gain access to what we thought was secure and protected data.

All the topics covered in this course are interesting. There are further interesting topics and questions to explore, such as the relationship between AI and employment, which can help us understand how the rise of artificial intelligence and automation may impact job markets, and what strategies can be used to prepare for these changes. Additionally, how individuals can ensure about their cybersecurity and personal responsibility, and prepare people to protect themselves online?

I'm interested in the applications of technology to support the medical industry, like the surgical robots and mechanical prosthetics. Researchers are testing autonomous devices small enough to crawl through blood vessels, repairing the walls and destroying blockages to prevent life-threatening blood clots. Of course, communication with these tools would be paramount.

Two key topics I would like to explore more are:

  1. Data Privacy in Training LLMs: How do LLMs collect and use data from the internet, and what are the ethical implications of using such data without consent?

  2. LLMs and User Profiling: How do LLMs handle analyzing user behavior to personalize content, and what privacy concerns does this raise?

An interesting topic I want to learn more about is Artificial intelligence and how it is affecting our world today. The link I found was https://ourworldindata.org/artificial-intelligenceLinks to an external site. I want to know the influence AI has in what we see, believe, and do. I also want to learn more about how people are using it to their advantages in their everyday life and why this could be a positive or negative for the society today.
