Grand Challenges for Engineering discussion -
There are many OTHER challenges and technologies to provide solutions.
Grand Challenges for Engineering identifies some important ones.
What are some that interest you?
Is it the problem or the technology possibilities?
Does the technology exist to address these challenges?
Application?
Scalability?
Sustainability?
What is the hold-up?
Find 1-2 additional resources that address other concerns not already covered by the Challenge projects. Post links and a question about each to the Grand Challenges for Engineering discussion.
Grand Challenge: Engineer Better Medicines
All topics are interesting, among of them I would choose "Engineer Better Medicines " because due to its profound potential to revolutionize healthcare and enhance human well-being. Some rare disease can be treated with new advance technology biogenetic engineering medicine. I am interested in learning how they developed the treatments that are personalized for each person, improving how medicines are delivered in the body, and creating therapies that can help grow or repair damaged tissues. This article explains about "The CRISPR gene-editing breakthrough for Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD)".This interests me due to its potential to change the future of treatments for genetic disorders. The biogenetic engineer technology's ability to correct gene mutations directly is especially promising because it addresses the root cause of diseases rather than just managing symptoms. This is currently experimental, but if successful, it could lead to a single treatment that corrects the genetic cause of DMD, offering life-long benefits.
