Robots- We already have robots being used in some day-to-day life and as we progress further with technology, we will begin to see more robots taking over with tasks that were before done by humans since with robotics not only can we use them to complete dangerous tasks that would put people in harm's way, but also assist in tasks that require precise measurements, movements and pinpoint accuracy that humans are just not capable of doing.
Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning- Ai today as been achieving major milestones and has been assisting even completing in many tasks that would take humans countless hours, days or even possibly weeks to complete, in a mere few seconds. We will definitely see Ai be used and implemented in many different fields as it continues to evolve such as game development, health care and manufacturing.
Machine Learning is a branch of AI that enables computers to learn from large volumes of data with minimal human input. For example, platforms like Facebook use machine learning to monitor user activity and identify keywords associated with spam or sensitive information, such as content that violates human rights. This allows the system to quickly restrict or remove inappropriate posts, helping to maintain a safer online environment.
Cybersecurity is essential for protecting large corporations from cyberattacks that can expose sensitive customer information, such as social security numbers and bank details for example not long ago the AT&T company was facing cyberattack where hackers gained access to customer data, leading to lawsuits against the company. This incident highlights the importance of robust cybersecurity measures to prevent data breaches and legal consequences.
Bluetooth- It is a short ranged wireless communication technology used for transmitting data between devices over short distances using UHF radio waves. It is used daily to connect devices to phones, speakers, headphones,computers, and other technology.
Wifi- It is a wireless technology that allows devices like computers, smartphones, and other electronics to connect to the internet or communicate wirelessly using radio waves. It helps people stay connected without cables and is used to communicate with one another in a particular area.
The 2 technologies that I think would have an impact on society are, 1) Wi-fi and 2) Analytics.
I think Wi-fi is not only necessary but extremely impactful because of how many of us use smartphones and do things digitally. Analytics are also imperative for us to learn important facts from data to continue to thrive as a society.
Artificial Intelligence- AI can help society by automating tasks and has nearly endless possibilities. However, it also brings challenges and should be used carefully
WiFi- Wi-Fi allows people to connect to the internet without cables, making it easier to access information and stay connected. It helps improve everyday activities like working, learning, and communicating.
- Renewable Energy Technology : Technological developments in solar or other renewable energy sectors can decrease our dependency on fossil fuels and pave the way for more sustainable energy.
- Generative Artificial intelligence : It has the power to streamline processes, like doing tasks for you that normally would take a while. It also just keeps getting smarter because it's generative. Imagine the possibilities or discoveries that could happen with AI.
Cloud Computing, storage & access - Cloud computing enables seamless access to powerful computing resources and vast data storage from anywhere, making global collaboration and innovation easier than ever, without being constrained by local hardware limitations.
Cyber Security - Cybersecurity plays a critical role in protecting large corporations from cyberattacks, which could result in hackers gaining access to sensitive data such as customer social security numbers or bank details. Without robust security measures, these breaches could lead to significant financial losses for businesses.
Wifi - Via Wifi, we use different types of digital devices within a specific area. Wifi is the key to entering into the virtual world. Though it's an essential technology to many, it often causes an invasion of privacy issues.
Mobile devices - This refers to the compact size of a computer. With mobile devices, we can take care of numerous works all in one device ubiquitously. Even though this is a great innovation, many people suffer from mobile device addictions at the same time.
Robots: robots are revolutionizing countless industries because of how they automate so many different tasks from manufacturing to healthcare, allowing for significant increased efficiency and precision. As of right now, their implementations allow factories to operate faster and with fewer errors, and over time as this technology develops, robots are set to take on more complex tasks.
Artificial Intelligence: AI is powering breakthroughs in almost every field, using data to make better, faster decisions. However, while automating jobs and also bringing new opportunities, AI also does raise concerns about privacy, bias, and ethics.
Internet of Things - IoT connects everyday devices to the internet which allows them to share data. Being able to share improves efficiency too. This can impact society by making homes smarter and improving industries like transportation or healthcare.
VR, AR & MR - These items blend the real and virtual world. VR creates fully virtual environments, while AR adds digital things into the real world. These factors are being used in gaming, education, and also healthcare. These are expected to transform how we interact with technology.
Artificial Intelligence- AI contains natural language, which mimics the way humans speak and behave and can replicate a response according to how they think we would respond. Having artificial intelligence that is already accessible to the public has a huge impact on society. Many people are using Chat GPT to help write their emails, code, and brainstorm ideas, and they would respond in ways they think how we would think.
Cybersecurity- Cybersecurity has a huge impact on big corporate businesses because, without it, hackers can get through their cloud and steal information or data that could cost the company thousands of dollars. Examples could contain customer's social security numbers or their bank details.
Cloud computing - The integration of cloud computing and artificial intelligence is reshaping network security by providing advanced tools to predict, detect, and mitigate network threats. Artificial intelligence driven solutions analyze large amounts of network data in real-time, identifying anomalies and potential vulnerabilities before they are exploited. This proactive approach can help organizations quickly respond to evolving threats and reduce the risk of large-scale intrusions.
AI - Platforms such as Microsoft Azure Security Center and AWS Shield use artificial intelligence algorithms to continuously monitor network traffic, predict potential attack vectors, and automatically implement countermeasures. These systems support security teams by providing real-time insights, reducing manual intervention, and ensuring that cloud environments remain secure and comply with industry standards.
Cloud Computing - enhances society by offering scalable, cost-effective solutions for businesses, education, and healthcare. It supports remote work, online learning, telemedicine, and secure data sharing, driving innovation and digital transformation across various sectors.
Microsoft Azure and AWS are cloud platforms that provide scalable services like computing and storage. It supports businesses, healthcare, and education by enabling remote work, data analytics, and secure operations, driving digital transformation and innovation across industries.
Wifi - The ability to communicate over long distances nearly instantaneously has already had a great impact on society, and we often forget about the infrastructure required for our relatively easy usage of the system, from satellites to radio towers.
Cloud computing - Being able to utilize the computational power of systems around the world, as well as the storage and access of data, allows people to collaborate and create without the limit of physical hardware.
Robots - if properly designed, they can easily help our society with complex tasks, that would take hard labor for humans. In fact in today's time, there is already robotic welding for the more complex structures. I believe robots can help the evolution of the technology we know today.
Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) - is a complex piece of technology that can easily learn new information and can understand what we speak. This is just some of the basics it can do. With the proper development artificial intelligence can help use answer some of the worlds greatest questions.
