No Due Date
Hello everyone, my name is James Cadei. I am 39 years old and am back in school for a better career. I have worked in the automotive industry for 20 years both mechanical and autobody. I have a dog thats going to be 17 years old in just a few weeks. She's been part of the family since she was born. I don't care for grapefruit all that much. I loved skateboarding when I was a kid. Really, anything that was outside and productive. My dream job is an independent freelancer of sorts. Being able to set my own schedule and work my own hours and work remotely is what I am after.
I am not familiar with working in a group online, but I am excited to collaborate as a team. I am wondering how we can prevent the free-rider problem and smoothly resolve conflicts if they arise.
I have never worked with a group on a project fully online before. So my biggest question would be, would group members be open to having a group chat outside of canvas? As well as, what is the best way to ensure strong collaboration?
I haven't worked in an online group before, so I have a few questions about the experience. How do you ensure that everyone participates equally in discussions? Additionally, what tools do you find most effective for collaboration, such as sharing documents or video conferencing? Finally, how do you manage conflicts if they arise within the group?
Hello everyone, my name is Yufeng Feng, and I am a student majoring in mathematics.
1. A food I really dislike: I absolutely cannot stand wasabi. Its spicy irritation is too strong for me, and every time I try it, I burst into tears.
2. Things I really liked to do when I was a child: When I was a child, I especially liked to fold paper airplanes. Whenever I finished a paper airplane, I would excitedly run outside and watch it soar in the blue sky. That simple happiness still makes me miss it.
3. My "dream career": I have always dreamed of becoming a mathematical researcher. Being able to delve into the mysteries of mathematics, explore unknown mathematical fields, and apply research results to practical problems is a challenging and meaningful job for me.
I am very happy to join this group and look forward to spending a fulfilling and interesting semester with you all. I also hope that we can create beautiful memories together!
Hey everyone, my name is Brandon Ortega. Just a bit about me: I love eating beef and have a particular fondness for avocados. Growing up, I spent countless hours playing video games, which was a blast. Now, I'm pursuing my dream of becoming a data scientist.
Looking forward to our discussion!
Hello everyone, I'm Aria. I don't like coriander. I like to read comic and fictions when I was young. I stopped reading before my high school years but I continue reading them in this year. My dream job was to become a surgeon but I am still confusing about my career.
Hello everyone, nice to meet you all. My name is Sinhye Kim and I am originally from South Korea. I don’t like raisins since they are too sweet for me. I used to like to read Japanese manga when I was a kid. I read three or five mangas every day until junior high. Even though I am not studying any arts, my dream job is always related to art. I wish I was the fashion director at Net-A-Porte or Saatchi gallery. Look forward to collaborating with you.
Hi everyone, I'm Sam and excited to work with you all. One food I really don't like is papaya. The smell doesn't sit well with me for some reason, and I don't think it ever will. One thing I really enjoyed doing as a kid was playing with RC cars; I used to attach cameras to them and watch the videos as if it was the tiny driver. My current dream job is to become a nuclear medicine technologist.
